The Master Account feature provides an ideal way for an organisation with multiple Businesses (hotels, locations etc.) to view and manage all the aspects of the various businesses such as bookings, products and reports in one place.
Managing the Master Account
A Master Account can be viewed through the account menu on the top left-hand corner. An account with multiple Businesses, allows the user to select one or more Businesses to view simultaneously.
Click on the “See X businesses” button in order to confirm the selection of one or more Businesses.
Note: When only one business is selected, the business name & the location will show up on the top left-hand corner. If multiple businesses are selected, then the “Master Account Name” will appear, along with a note with the number of businesses selected.
Creating a product within the Master Account
When multiple businesses are selected, as a first step the user needs to select to which Business the product will belong to.
Then follow the normal steps to create the product. More detailed instructions on this can be found here.
Note: When only one business is selected, then this step will be omitted, and the specific business will be selected by default.
Making a back-office booking within the Master Account
When multiple businesses are selected, as a first step the user needs to select to which Business the booking will belong to.
Then follow the normal steps to complete the booking. More detailed instructions on this can be found here.
Note: When only one business is selected, then this step will be omitted, and the specific business will be selected by default.
Creating other things within the Master Account
When multiple businesses are selected, the above mentioned steps will apply for the majority of any new additions within the Master Account (e.g. Categories, Groups, Locations, Discounts, Email Templates, etc.), keeping in mind that every entity created within the Triparound platform needs to belong to one Business.
Display of Tables within the Master Account
When multiple Businesses are selected, all data from the selected Businesses will be shown on the table (e.g. Bookings, Customers, Products, Schedules, etc.). If required, the data can be filtered by using the Business filter.
Additionally, on the majority of the tables, the Business column can be added in order to distinguish to which Business the particular element (e.g. Booking, Customer, Product, etc.) has been created and therefore "belongs" to.
Example: Bookings table
Notes:
On the Customers table, all customers from the selected businesses are shown. If a customer has made bookings in more than one Business, then the specific customer will be shown multiple times and the business to which the customer "belongs" to will be indicated on the Business column.
On the Products table, all products from all selected businesses are displayed. If a product is shared between one or more businesses, it will shown only once in the products list and the business(es) to which the product "belongs" to will be indicated on the Business column.
Additionally, concerning the Products table, keep in mind the following:
On the Product owner column, the owner of the product is shown. This indicates who has created and therefore "owns" the product (i.e Business or Supplier).
On the Shared with column, the Business(es) that the product has been shared with is shown.
The Product owner is also indicated from within the product's page.
On the Suppliers table, all suppliers from the selected businesses are shown. In case a supplier belongs to more than one Business, then the specific supplier will be shown only once in the list and the business(es) to which the supplier "belongs" to will be indicated on the Business column.
Display of Reports within the Master Account
When multiple Businesses are selected, all data from the selected Businesses will be shown on the reports (e.g. Sales Report, Bookings Report, Transactions Report, etc.). If required, the data can be filtered by using the Business filter.
Example: Bookings Report
Important note:
For the Master Account functionality to work properly, users must be associated with the multiple businesses, holding the same Role in each. Only then will the users be able to see aggregated data based on the businesses associated with them.
