How to propose a booking using the BOOK NOW button

The BOOK NOW function allows the Business to propose a booking to the customer through the Triparound platform.

Updated over a month ago

The Propose functionality can be found within the BOOK NOW button on the dashboard and can be used for marketing and sales purposes. It can also be used in conjunction with the Guest App feature.

In order to propose a booking, click on the BOOK NOW button - always visible on the top right-hand side of the page - and follow the usual process in order to make a booking on behalf of the customer (more detailed instructions on how to make a booking using the BOOK NOW button can be found here).

More specifically, after selecting a product type and the specific product from the drop-down menu for which a proposed booking needs to be made, proceed with completing the required steps on the back-office booking process, as normally done when making a booking on behalf of the customer:

1. Schedule

On Schedule, select the number of participants/ quantity and the date from the calendar.

2. Price

On Price, select the appropriate price from the available options.

3. Checkout

On Checkout, fill in the required sections (Customer Info & Booking Info) and click on Propose.

Click on BOOK NOW once done.

Important note: When proposing a booking, availability is not reserved and the status Proposed is applied.

Proposed bookings

Proposed bookings are indicated with the status Proposed and are shown on the Bookings table, on the Triparound Calendar and on the Transactions Report.

Additionally, the proposed bookings are also shown on the Guest app, through which guests may accept or reject them.

Email Notifications

Once the proposed booking has been completed an email will be automatically sent to the selected parties involved - Customer or/and Business & Supplier, with all the necessary booking details.

Note: The default options for the Email Notifications can be selected from the Company settings by adjusting the features Enable email sending to customers and Enable email sending to business & supplier. However, the user (e.g concierge) can manually override the default settings during the booking process.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If the boxes Customer, Business & Supplier have not been checked, then no email notification will be sent to any of the involved parties.

Email notification sent to Customer

Note: Customers can accept or reject the proposed booking. Once an action is performed, the Business and Supplier will receive an updated email notification. In case of acceptance, availability may need to be confirmed (either by the Business or the Supplier, depending on the Booking Model that has been set for the specific product - more information can be found here).
