Checkout input fields

Find out how to collect additional customer data during the booking process.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Checkout input fields are pre-set fields that are applied to all products and bookings, allowing the collection of additional customer-specific information during the Checkout stage of the booking process.

Example: Passport number, preferred language, allergies etc.

Important notes:

  • The Checkout input fields are used to collect Customer data only, i.e. data of the person making the booking.

  • They are configured at the company level, meaning that they apply cumulatively to all products and bookings.

To access the Checkout input fields, navigate to the user icon on the top right-hand side and proceed to My Company > Settings > Booking settings.

How to set up

To add a Checkout input field:

1. Click Add input fields.

2. In the pop-up window that appears, select the preferred ones from the drop-down list.

3. If completion of a specific field needs to be mandatory, activate this option from the relevant field.

4. SAVE once done.

How to edit the Checkout input fields

To edit existing Checkout input fields, click Edit input fields.

Display during the booking process

Checkout input fields are displayed under the Customer Info/ Contact details section, right after the systemic fields (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number and Nationality).

They appear in both:

  • Online booking process

Where they are stored

The customer information captured during the booking process is stored in the corresponding customer profile in the Customers section under the Edit Info tab.

Where they are shown

Checkout input fields are visible in the following areas:

  • Within the booking, under the Bookings section (Booking Details > Customer Details > Show more).

  • Within the Guest App, in the Profile settings (Profile > Profile Settings > Personal information).

  • Within the Itinerary, under the Guests section (Builder > Guests > Edit Trip Leader). This applies only in accounts on which the β€œItineraries” feature is available.
