The Tickets feature allows for the creation of a ticket with a unique QR code for each participant of the booking that can be scanned using the equivalent Triparound scanner app. This feature can be used for activities/events where tickets and management of the tickets is required.
1/ Enabling the Tickets feature
In order to create tickets for a specific product proceed to the product's Settings & Policies > Tickets section.
As a first step, enable the function Generate QR code for each participant of the booking. Then, if required, enable the rest of the functions that will become available and also specify the time period in which the customers are allowed to check in.
Generate QR code for each participant of the booking
Activate this function to generate a unique QR code for each participant of the booking.
Example: A booking with 2 participants is made for an event taking place on September 1st and September 2nd. In this case, four QR codes in total will be generated for the particular booking- two for each participant for each of the booked days.
Allow batch scanning of the whole booking
Activate this function to allow for all tickets of the booking to be scanned automatically all at once. In this case, when the first QR code is scanned, the app recognizes that there are multiple tickets associated with the booking and provides you with the option to automatically check-in all remaining tickets of the booking (without having to manually scan all the tickets).
Note: Applies only if more than one ticket is included in the booking.
Allow ticket(s) to be scanned multiple times
Activate this function to allow for the same ticket/QR code to be scanned more than once.
Example: Hop on Hop off Bus tour where the ticket holder may use the service on multiple occasions, therefore requiring the ticket to be scanned repeatedly.
Specify the time period customers can check in before the start time of the activity.
Enter the time frame that will determine the check-in period before the activity’s start time in days, hours, or minutes.
Example: If 2 hours is selected, check-in is permitted only 2 hours prior to the activity’s start time. If an activity is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. check-in is allowed from 8 p.m. onwards and until 10 p.m.
Note: It is mandatory to populate at least one field within this section.
Specify the time period customers can check in after the start time of the activity.
Enter the time frame that will determine the check-in period after the activity’s start time in days, hours, or minutes.
Example: If 2 hours is selected, check-in is permitted up to 2 hours after the activity’s start time. If an activity is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. check-in is allowed until 12 midnight.
Note: Completion of these fields is optional. Default settings for hours is 1 - please adjust accordingly.
