Tailoring prices to specific customer segments (e.g., hotel guests vs visitors, villa owners vs villa renters) helps optimize revenue, maintain competitiveness and deliver more relevant and transparent pricing - while reducing manual effort through smarter configuration.
Depending on how products need to be presented to customers, different setup options may be used.
Option 1: Set up a different product for each customer segment
Setting up different products for each customer segment - e.g., one product for hotel guests and another for visitors - allows each product to be associated with specific pricing.
How to set it up
Follow the standard process to create the products.

Customers will see as many products on the widget as the customer segments and will be able to select the preferred option.
Tip
Create different Categories - one for each customer segment - so that customers and users can easily access the products relevant to each segment.
Option 2: Set up a single product and use the Groups functionality
Groups can be used as filters for different pricing options during the booking process. Depending on the selection in the Groups section at the beginning of the booking flow, the corresponding pricing will apply.
How to set it up
Step 1: Follow the standard process to create the product.
Note: The setup should include one pricing element per customer segment and separate schedules where applicable.
Step 2: Create one Group per customer segment and associate the correct schedule and pricing element with each group.

Customers will see a single product on the widget.
After selecting the product, the preferred customer segment can be selected and the corresponding pricing will apply automatically.
Option 3: Set up a single product and add a note about the different pricing policy
Set up a single product and include informative text in one of the available fields to communicate the applicable pricing policy.
Sample text: "Different pricing policy applies to visitors".
How to set it up
Step 1: Follow the standard process to create a new product.
Note: Only one pricing element needs to be created.
Tip
Record the pricing applicable to the primary customer segment for the product. For example, if most customers booking the product are hotel guests vs villa owners, the configured price should reflect the hotel guest rate.
Step 2: Include descriptive information in one of the available fields under Content & Media > Presentation section of the product (e.g., Additional information, Payment info).
The information inserted will appear prominently on the widget during the booking process and on the Guest App.
