Creating upselling sections in the Guest App

Learn how to create upselling sections in the Guest App to promote additional experiences to guests.

Upsells allow additional products or services to be promoted within the Guest App, enhancing the guest experience and encouraging increased engagement with available offerings. This feature supports the creation of dedicated upselling sections that can highlight either individual products or entire categories.

How to set up an upselling section

Step 1: Navigate to Upsells

To create an upselling section in the Guest App, follow this path: More > Guest Facing > Guest App > Settings > Upsells.


Step 2: Add an upselling section

Click on Add upselling section to begin the creation process.

Notes:

  • A maximum of three upselling sections can be created in the Guest App.

  • Existing sections can be modified or deleted at any time if changes are required.


Step 3: Complete the upselling section form

In the pop-up window that appears complete the necessary fields.

  • Select upselling section type

    Choose from the available options:

    • Products: This option will allow individual products to be promoted in the Guest App.

    • Categories: This option will allow categories to be promoted in the Guest App.

  • Upselling section headline

    Enter a headline for the upselling section (maximum of 40 characters).

    Example: Exclusive Spa Offers

  • Select products/categories to promote

    Based on the section type selected, choose the relevant products or categories from the drop-down menu.

Tip:

Promote seasonal offers or high-margin items for better revenue opportunities!

Example: A hotel may create a “Special Spa Offers” upselling section featuring discounted treatments or wellness packages to encourage guests to book during their stay.

SAVE CHANGES to finalize the upselling section.


Display of upselling sections in the Guest app

Upselling sections will appear prominently on the homepage of the Guest App, making it easy for guests to discover additional offerings.
