The Supplier Hold booking model provides more flexibility during the booking process between the business and the supplier, providing the business with the luxury of deciding when to proceed with confirming the booking to the supplier.
By selecting Hold, the supplier essentially indicates that there is availability for the selected service and will hold onto it on behalf of the business. During this period the business can proceed to complete any necessary internal tasks required before committing to the confirmation of the booking.
How to set it up
To apply this booking model to a specific product, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Navigate to the Settings & Policies > Bookings.

Note: A supplier must have already been associated with the specific product.

How it works
As soon as a booking is made, this is displayed as Pending in the Bookings table within the dashboard - this applies to both the Business and the Supplier dashboard. At the same time, email notifications are being sent to all involved parties (if applicable), with the supplier being able to perform specific actions through the email received.
Email notifications
As long as the business has activated the email sending to Customers and Business and Supplier, the following email notifications will be sent:
1. The Supplier will receive an email notification through which they will have the option to HOLD, REJECT the booking or SEND ALTERNATIVES.
2. The Customer will receive an email notification informing that the status of their reservation is Pending.
3. The Business will receive an email notification informing that a new booking has been received and its status is Pending.
Supplier actions
Depending on the action selected by the Supplier, there are three potential scenarios:
Scenario 1: Supplier holds the booking
In case supplier holds the booking:
The booking's status changes automatically from Pending to Hold - this applies to the Business and the Supplier dashboard.
An email notification is sent to the Supplier, confirming that the specific booking is on hold.
An email notification is sent to the Business, informing that the specific booking is on hold.
As soon as this email is sent, Business may proceed with any necessary internal tasks required and then ACCEPT, REJECT the booking or SEND ALTERNATIVES.
Depending on the Business' selection, the Triparound dashboard will be updated accordingly and all involved parties will receive an email notification about the booking update.
In case Business selects to send alternatives, Customers have the option to either BOOK or DECLINE the alternatives sent through the relevant email notification - this will trigger an update in the Triparound dashboard, as well as the sending of email notifications to all involved parties.
No email notification is sent to Customer.
Scenario 2: Supplier rejects the booking
In case supplier rejects the booking:
The booking's status changes automatically from Pending to Cancelled - this applies to the Business and the Supplier dashboard.
An email notification is sent to the Supplier, confirming the booking cancellation.
An email notification is sent to both the Business and the Customer, informing that the specific booking has been cancelled.
Scenario 3: Supplier sends alternatives
In case the SEND ALTERNATIVES is selected:
Supplier will be redirected to their dashboard in order to send alternatives.
As soon as alternatives are sent, the Triparound dashboard will be updated accordingly - this applies to the Business and the Supplier dashboard.
An email notification is sent to the Supplier, confirming that alternatives have been sent for the specific booking.
An email notification is sent to the Business and Customer, informing that alternatives have been sent for the specific booking. Through this email, Customers have the option to either BOOK or DECLINE the alternatives sent.
Depending on the customer's selection, the Triparound dashboard will be updated accordingly and all involved parties will receive a relevant email notification.
