Refers to setting the parameters so that the price remains the same regardless of the number of participants.
Example: If the price of a sailing tour is €1,000 and there are 4 participants, the total cost amounts to €1,000.
The Guest Types feature is available within the More > Data Management section on the left-hand menu.
How it works
The following steps are required in order to create and use a Guest Type:
1. Create a new Guest Type
Click on NEW GUEST TYPE on the top right-hand side of the page and complete the required fields:
Name:
Insert the name of the guest type e.g., "3-pax" or "group of 3 people"
Category:
Select the category of the Guest Type from the available options:
Single: Price will change depending on the number of participants.
Group: Price will remain the same regardless of the number of participants.
Example: If the price of a sailing tour is €700 and there are 4 participants, the total cost amounts to €700.
Minimum number of participants:
Select the minimum number of participants that can be allocated to the guest type.
Maximum number of participants:
Select the maximum number of participants that can be allocated to the guest type.
Description:
Enter the description of the guest type (for internal use only-not shown to the guest).
Save your changes before continuing.
Note:
If the guest type is referring only to a specific number of participants e.g. 5, then the minimum and maximum number of participants should be the same. If more guest types need to be created based on the activity's pricing, repeat the previous actions to create more guest types.
2. Connect the Guest Type with the product's pricing
Once created, the guest type(s) need to be connected with the required product in order to be applied to its pricing.
To do so, proceed to the product's pricing and on the Pricing model select Price per guest type:
Then, select the specific Guest Type that has been created from the available options:
Notes:
Application of the guest type(s) on the pricing of the product will be applied during the 2nd stage of the booking process.
The products that are associated with a Guest Type can be found on the Products section within the specific Guest Type.
