What does each Product status mean?

Learn the difference between the available product statuses in the Triparound dashboard.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are three available product statuses, each one indicating how a product can be used and booked, as well as its stage within the configuration process. While some statuses reflect setup progress, others may be intentionally selected based on how the product is meant to be offered.

The available product statuses are:

  • Draft

  • Offline

  • Online

Draft status

The Draft status is automatically applied by the system when key elements of a product, such as Schedule and Pricing, have not yet been configured.

Note:

Products in draft status are not available for online bookings (made directly by customers), or back office bookings (made by the company's team on behalf of customers).

Offline status

The Offline status is applied by default once the Fundamentals of a product have been set up. This status allows the Business to review and test the product before deciding to offer it to customers online.

Products with an Offline status can only be booked by the company's team through the dashboard using the BOOK NOW button.

Some products are intentionally kept Offline because they are designed exclusively for internal or offline use (for example, custom bookings, partner-only services, or operational products) and are not meant to be available for customer self-booking.

Notes:

  • Even when a product is set to Offline, its online version can be tested by previewing the product.

  • Products with an Offline status can be associated with a Product Category for operational purposes without being visible on the Business' online touchpoints.

Online Status

Once a product has been fully checked and tested, its status can be changed to Online, allowing online bookings to be made by customers.

Note:

Setting a product's status to Online, does not automatically make it available to guests. The Business must:

  • Add the booking button for this specific product to its online touchpoints (such as a website or mobile app), or

Display

A product's status is displayed:

  • In the products table

  • Within the product's individual detail page
