How to make products bookable online

Enable products to be booked instantly by customers to streamline the booking process, improve accessibility and drive more sales.

Enabling products to be bookable online allows customers to browse and make bookings at any time, from any device. This significantly improves the customer experience while capturing demand beyond standard business hours and increasing revenue potential.

Once products have been fully configured and reviewed, the next step is to make them available for booking. This is achieved by adding them to widgets and implementing those widgets across customer touchpoints.

Before starting

Ensure that:

  • Products are fully configured

Focus on the core elements of the product - About, Schedules and Pricing - which are essential for a product to be bookable.

  • Content & Media is completed

The Content & Media section must include customer-facing descriptions and visuals. While basic configuration enables internal or back-office use, online availability requires a more complete setup - particularly in this section. High-quality images, clear descriptions and well-structured content are essential to effectively present products and support booking decisions.

  • Product status is set to Online

Once all required sections are configured, set the product status to Online. Only online products can accept bookings from customers directly.

  • Any associated Category is also set to Online

In case a product has been included in a Category, ensure that the Category status is also set to Online, otherwise products will not be available to customers.

How to enable online booking

Products become bookable not only by being set to Online, but by being made accessible through widgets across customer touchpoints. The steps below outline how to add products to a widget and make them available across customer-facing channels.

Step 1: Add products to a widget

To enable online booking, products - or the Categories they belong to - must be added to a widget.

Widgets serve as the booking interface that customers interact with, displaying product content, availability and pricing.

Step 2: Copy the widget code

Once the widget is configured, copy the generated codes.

Step 3: Implement the widget across touchpoints

Place the widget code across relevant customer touchpoints, such as:

  • Website pages

  • Pre-arrival emails

  • QR codes

  • Mobile apps

This step makes products accessible for booking, allowing customers to browse and complete reservations directly.
