Can guest validation be applied on the widget for specific products only?

Want to apply guest validation on widget only for specific products? Got it covered!

Guest validation ensures that reservation details are verified, allowing only guests staying at the accommodation premises to proceed with booking selected product(s). External visitors cannot complete the booking.

Example: Spa therapies may be offered only to guests who have an accommodation reservation.


How Guest Validation can be applied

Guest validation can be configured at two levels:

  • Company level

    When enabled on a company level, validation applies to all products.

  • Product level

    When enabled on a product level, validation applies only to the specific product.


How to enable Guest Validation for a specific product

  1. Navigate to the desired product

  2. Go to Settings & Policies > Bookings

  3. Enable Guest validation on widget – Product level (overrides company setting for this product)

  4. Save changes


What happens when enabled

When product-level guest validation is enabled:

  • The company-level setting is overridden for that product

  • A guest validation step is added for the specific product before booking completion

  • Required fields must be completed by customers/guests before proceeding with the booking

  • If validation is successful, certain Customer Info fields are automatically pre-filled during checkout

Important:

  • If guest validation is enabled at the company level, it applies to all products by default - even if not enabled at the product level

  • To apply validation only to specific products:

    • Disable it at the company level

    • Enable it individually on selected products
