How to set up multilingual content on the Triparound widget

Learn how to configure multilingual content on the widget to connect with a broader audience and improve overall guest experience.

Supporting content in multiple languages on the widget helps create a more accessible and user-friendly guest experience.

By enabling multiple languages, guests can browse products and interact with guest-facing elements in their preferred language, improving usability and engagement.

Important:

To display content in a specific language on the widget, the preferred language must first be selected on the website by the customer.


How to set it up

To display product information in different languages on the widget, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Navigate through the left-hand menu to More > Account > Company Settings > Settings > General Settings.

Step 2: Locate the Language Settings and select the language(s) to be featured on the widget and other guest-facing elements.

Notes:

  • English is enabled by default and cannot be deselected.

  • When multiple languages are enabled, a default language can be selected.

Step 3: Navigate through the left-hand menu to Products and select a product type and product.

Step 4: Add content in the specific fields that support multiple languages - these are marked with a country flag icon.

To do so:

  • Click the flag icon

  • Select the desired language from the pop-up window

  • Add the relevant translated content


Multilingual fields are available across several product sections, including:

  • Fundamentals (About, Resources) - such as Product Name, Resource Name

  • Content & Media - such as Brief Description, Advertised Price, Long Description

  • Settings & Policies (Terms & Conditions, Custom Fields) - such as Terms & Conditions, Privacy Notice, Custom Field Title


Step 5: Repeat the process for all products and other elements that should be displayed in multiple languages (such as Guest Types, Locations, Cancellation Policies).

Step 6: Create a widget for each enabled language.

When creating a widget, select the desired language in the Widget language field.

Repeat the same process for all enabled languages to ensure that translated content is displayed correctly on the widget.

Note:

Once widgets are configured, the widget will display the available translated content based on the language selected by the customer on the website.
