An add-on is an additional item or service that can be purchased as part of an experience for an extra cost.
Example: A meal offered as part of a tour.
Using add-on pricing keeps the main pricing clear while offering optional extras at additional cost. This approach can help increase revenue through upselling, improve pricing transparency and provide customers with greater flexibility.
How to set up an add-on
To create an add-on, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Navigate to More > Data Management > Add-ons from the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Click NEW ADD-ON in the upper-right corner.
Step 3: In the pop-up window, complete the required fields and click SAVE.
Basic Info*
Name: Enter the add-on name.
Description: Enter a description of the add-on.
Note: For internal use only.
Quantity: Enter the maximum number of add-on items that can be selected per booking.
Note: The quantity entered is automatically populated in the corresponding field within the add-on pricing configuration.
Media
Upload a single image by dragging and dropping it into the upload area or by clicking the upload area.
Allowed file types: jpg, jpeg, png, svg
Maximum file size: 1 MB
Recommended image size: 1200 x 700 pixels
Note: Images uploaded for add-ons are for internal use only.
Note:
An add-on can also be created while configuring a product's add-on pricing. If the required add-on does not already exist, select Create new from the Add-on field to create it without leaving the pricing setup.
How to create add-on pricing
The following example demonstrates how to configure pricing for an experience with an optional add-on.
Example: A sailing tour costs €85 per participant and includes an optional meal available as an add-on for an additional €35 per meal.
How to set it up
Step 1: Create a new Experience and configure the following sections as required:
Step 2: Proceed to Pricing and create two pricing elements:
1. Main experience pricing (€85)
Create the pricing element for the standard sailing tour.
Select the Price per quantity pricing model.
2. Add-on pricing (€35)
Create a second pricing element for the meal add-on.
Select the Price per add-on pricing model.
Note:
The Maximum available items per booking field is automatically populated using the quantity configured for the add-on. This value can be adjusted for each product as required, either increasing or decreasing the maximum number available.
Display
The main experience price and the add-on price are displayed together. Add-ons appear in the dedicated Add-ons section.
