How to know who canceled a booking

Learn how to identify who canceled a booking to maintain accountability, resolve disputes more efficiently, and gain better visibility into booking activity.

The Audit section of a booking shows who made changes to the booking, including who canceled it. This can help distinguish between customer-driven and internal cancellations and provide useful information when reviewing bookings or resolving disputes.

How to access this information

Information about who canceled a booking can be found in the Audit section of the specific booking.

To find this information, follow the below steps:

Step 1: From the left-hand menu, navigate to Bookings.

Step 2: Locate the relevant booking using the Search or Filters functionality.

Step 3: Open the booking page by clicking the Product name.

Step 4: Navigate to the Audit tab to view the booking history and identify who canceled the booking.

Notes

  • The Audit section displays updates made to a booking in chronological order and indicates who made each change. For cancellations, it identifies whether the booking was canceled by a Back Office user or a Customer.

  • The Audit section is not updated when a booking is edited through email notifications.
